EAPC welcomes Jordan Miranda, Structural Engineering Student Intern, to our Fargo office.
Jordan is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at North Dakota State University and is expected to graduate in May.
Jordan has seized opportunities to intern at several engineering firms in the Fargo-Moorhead region during his time as a student. He shares that after speaking with our HR team at the NDSU career fair, he was excited for the opportunity to be at EAPC, where he would have the chance to work closely with in-house architects. “The first place I interned didn’t offer structural engineering, and I knew I wanted to design buildings in this capacity, collaborating alongside architects.”
Jordan has a history with EAPC, having previously undertaken a job shadowing experience with the structural team during the early stages of college. He says he enjoyed seeing what kind of work the team does and experiencing the company culture. Fun fact, his dad works in our Fargo office building!
When thinking about opportunities to learn, Jordan shares “Designing a school for kids in EAPC’s education sector sounds awesome to me. All of EAPC’s sectors sound interesting; I’m ready to give my best effort wherever they need me.”
After his upcoming graduation from NDSU in May, Jordan plans to join EAPC full-time as a Structural Designer, EIT.
“It’s a little bittersweet thinking about leaving my friends, but I’m ready to start this new chapter.”
In his free time, Jordan enjoys playing sand volleyball, golfing, spending time with friends and family, and being involved with his church.
