EAPC is excited to welcome DaKarra Dolley, Architectural Student Intern, to our Phoenix office.

DaKarra earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bellevue University in Nebraska, and Associate of Arts degrees in Intelligence and Korean Studies while in the Air Force. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Architecture from Arizona State University and is expected to graduate in May 2026.

She spent five years in the United States Air Force as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist where she learned and mastered the Korean language, translated and transcribed intelligence intercepts, and led state-wide intelligence training exercises.

DaKarra shares that her job in the Air Force is a very rare one to land, with only 6 other people in the Air Force who were trained in Korean as it is one of the hardest languages to become proficient in. “I think the skills you develop while learning a foreign language are kind of like none other. It’s so different and hard that after you finish, it feels like you can learn anything.”

DaKarra recently bought her first home and discovered a love of interior design and architecture during the process. “I really enjoyed doing a bunch of projects in the house… putting cool things from my Pinterest board into real life.”

Her goals for her time at EAPC include learning the different software used by architects and to excel in her master’s program using the skills she learns here.

In her free time, DaKarra enjoys traveling as much as possible, including taking weekend trips in the Southwest U.S. with her boyfriend. She also enjoys listening to music. Her favorite genre is house music, and her favorite artist is My Chemical Romance.

Welcome to the team, DaKarra!
