EAPC is excited to welcome Structural Engineering Regional Manager, Tim File, to our Phoenix office.
Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, and a Master of Business Administration from Seattle University.
Tim has more than 15 years of experience as a Senior Structural Engineer and Project Manager designing for multifamily residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Tim is a licensed structural engineer and is licensed in Washington. He is currently working to obtain his license in Arizona.
Most recently, Tim served as a Senior Project Manager for a top structural firm in Washington where he prepared proposals and schedules and managed engineering teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. In this position he also developed training programs for the mentorship of junior engineers.
“I’d like to pass some knowledge on to younger engineers.”
Tim also has experience running his own business. He was an Owner and Project Manager at File Engineering for seven years where he worked mainly on multifamily residential and commercial projects.
“We are thrilled that Tim has joined our structural team. Tim’s experience as a structural engineer and time spent in the Washington state region will strengthen our seismic design proficiency and be invaluable in expanding our Phoenix market presence. We are excited to have Tim on board and look forward to the contributions he will make to our team.” -Sam Wilke, Senior Structural Engineer, Partner
After taking several months off work this past year, Tim decided he wasn’t quite ready to slow down. Now that he’s back in the workforce, Tim shares that he’s excited to challenge himself by working in a new state with differing regulations, weather conditions, and natural disasters than Washington.
“I’m here at the right time. I’m glad to be back (in the workforce) with this new beginning and I’m motivated.”
With his move down south to a warmer climate, Tim is excited to play more golf and explore hiking trails in the Phoenix area.
We are excited to welcome Tim to our Structural team!
