EAPC is excited to welcome Senior Electrical Engineer Nathan Brandt to our Sioux Falls office.

Nathan earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University, and is now working towards a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Arkansas.

Nathan brings more than 20 years of experience to EAPC. Most recently, Nathan served as the Director of Engineering at Thompson Solutions Group, where he managed both the mechanical and electrical teams. He has experience working with engineering studies, creating construction documents, and providing knowledge on relevant codes for project managers. He previously also worked as a Principal Electrical Engineer for the State of Minnesota where he was responsible for developing electrical construction drawings for armory and field maintenance shop remodels throughout the state.

In his 20 years as an electrical engineer Nathan has worked in firms with various structure types and client approaches, but he says he’s looking forward to being part of a full-service firm once again, where all steps of the process are completed in-house.

Nathan shares that he’s excited to be coming into a leadership position at EAPC. He believes leadership and engineering go hand-in-hand.

“You’re helping people. You’re really helping owners get the building they want, helping a contractor through an issue… that’s what engineering is really about. Leadership is just helping people grow their careers.”

Nathan says his two young kids keep him busy, even dedicating some of his free time to coaching his daughter’s soccer team. His big passion is distance running, and he also enjoys brewing beer from scratch out of his garage.
