EAPC is excited to welcome Mechanical CAD Designer, Caden ‘C.J.’ Christianson, to our Fargo office.

C.J. earned his Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Drafting & Design from Minnesota State Community and Technical College in 2021. This spring, he graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with his Bachelor of Science in Operations Management.

C.J. spent five years as an Electrician Apprentice for Voxland Electric in Moorhead, MN getting hands-on experience in the field. He later decided he wanted to take on a different role in his career path. “The design intention is really the appeal for me. It’s the freedom to create rather than putting together something that someone else created.”

C.J. says he owes a lot of his career to his parents. His dad was a mechanic and C.J. grew up helping him take things apart and put them back together. C.J. says his mom’s story of going back to school to earn her MBA nearly 30 years after the completion of her Bachelor’s Degree really inspired him to pursue higher education. C.J. says he hopes to go back to school in the future to earn his MBA.

“I want to be the one making the job plans rather than reading them.”

When asked what drew him to EAPC, C.J. says, “One of the big things I noticed was on the first page of the website is a big picture of the employees—it’s like ‘these are our people, these are our resources, this is who we are’ and I liked that aspect.” In his next chapter at EAPC, C.J. says he is looking forward to having the chance to be part of a diverse team all working toward a common goal.

In his free time, C.J. likes to keep his electrical and mechanical skills up to snuff by working on anything with a 2-stroke engine. He also enjoys drawing and going to the lake almost every weekend with his family.

Welcome to EAPC, C.J.!
