Three raw pan vessels required replacement of their respective condensers. The old condenser design was less efficient than new designs and they were beyond their service life. New condensers were lifted with a crane and placed at the same location as the old condensers. Modifications were made to the structural steel to match the new condenser legs. New 32” piping was installed from the raw pans to the new condensers. Cold water to the condensers was controlled with new control valves. Additional piping was replaced from 4” to 16” in diameter. All piping and condensers were ceramic coated instead of the standard insulation and jacket method.
