This 60’x75’ pre-engineered metal building addition providing much needed breathing room for the Kindred Fire Department.
  • New five-bay apparatus allows circulation space around each piece of equipment
  • Apparatus include three water filling stations, exhaust removal system, and compressed air system
  • New training tower provides a training stair with access to an exterior platform and interior balcony, both allowing for rappelling and rope training as well as an area for confined space training and anchor points for ladder training
  • The interior-exterior relationship of the training tower provides training opportunities throughout the year for the fire department and the entire region
  • A larger training room was designed within the renovated existing building and can host classes and meetings for the entire District team
  • Catering kitchen provides space for member use as well as hosting community and fundraising events
  • Separate private office space includes new windows to bring in daylight and views
  • New ventilation and air circulation system and LED lighting throughout
  • Addition includes fire fighter support space such as laundry/decontamination room and dedicated space for turn-out gear and lockers
  • Project partnered with USDA Rural Development – North Dakota to create a facility to serve Kindred and the surrounding area for years to come
