With a growing youth baseball program, the Jamestown Parks and Recreation needed to improve their dilapidated existing fields and facility.
The original stadium was built in 1917 and named McElroy Park. After a fire detroyed the stands in 1991, the stadium was rebuilt to resemble the former stadium
McElroy Park is the home to youth baseball, fastpitch softball, high school and college baseball and softball programs as well as amateur leagues
The field renovations will consist of three phases. These phases will provide renovations to the youth complex and Jack Brown Stadium

The first phase of the renovations consist of two feature fields, both with turf infields and lighting, Gould Field, a Babe Ruth field and a Cal Ripken/fastpitch softball fields, as well as a parking lot, and new concessions building
New 1,100 SF building includes concession stand, restrooms and umpire room with a paved patio area for youth baseball games and tournaments
Daylighting, native plants and landscaping used in site design around concession stand
