What once was the old Safari Theater is now transformed into a new 17,000 SF worship space.
In a remarkable journey of revival, EAPC has reimagined an old movie theater into a vibrant worship facility for Ignite Church in Moorhead, MN. Since its transformation, the church has witnessed an incredible surge in attendance, nearly doubling in size.

- The project began with a physical needs assessment of the building to determine recommended improvements and updating the building to the current code requirements.
- A master plan was created that included a large worship area, Kid’s Ignite area, classrooms, offices, large lounge/fellowship area, kitchen, visitor area, lobby, increased restrooms, nursing area, and storage.
- Exterior improvements included adding building façade finishes to modernize the building for its intended use (while maintaining the historic iconic features such as art deco), new storefront systems, new doors, new windows, signage, tuckpointing, reroof, landscaping, sidewalks, and parking lot.
- Their mission is incorporated throughout the design: “Encounter God. Impact the World.”
