Basin Electric Power Cooperative Antelope Valley Station
EAPCÂ provided engineering and design services to convert both 450 MW units from fuel oil to natural gas for boiler startups. EAPC also provided engineering and design services to upgrade the combustion air damper drive system for each boiler.
Services for this project included mechanical engineering, structural engineering, and electrical engineering. All piping was 3D modeled and plans, elevations, and isometric drawings were generated. Structural drawings were generated complete with structural details for a new pipe rack extension. A hazardous area review was completed and an area classification issued as part of the project. All control wiring was replaced for new burner and igniter controls.
