EAPC is thrilled to announce the arrival of Joe Dalrymple as our new Senior Electrical Engineer in the Grand Forks office.

With a family full of engineers—including his father and three younger sisters—Joe’s passion for the field was ignited early on. His strong proficiency in mathematics naturally steered him toward electrical engineering, a discipline where precision meets creativity.

Joe’s academic journey began at Cal Poly Pomona, where he secured his Bachelor of Science in 2004. He then advanced his expertise with a Master’s degree from Cal State Long Beach. His career took off at Grand Forks Air Force Base, where he served as an Energy Manager, balancing the intricacies of both electrical and mechanical systems to ensure stringent compliance standards were met.

His career path led to roles at Indian Health Services in Bemidji, overseeing construction projects, and later at Rice Companies. In these roles, he utilized his PE license to lead electrical system designs, particularly for the Border States office expansion in Albertville, MN.

Joe’s decision to join EAPC was driven by the availability of greater resources and the opportunity to further specialize in his field. Residing in Grand Forks with his wife and their soon-to-be four-year-old son—who will celebrate his birthday on December 17th—the move aligns perfectly with their life goals, offering stability and opening up new professional opportunities.

Eager to make his mark, Joe brings a robust skill set in managing complex systems and a keen ability to solve intricate problems—qualities that are invaluable for the projects at EAPC. His technical acumen and proactive approach to learning make him an essential addition to our engineering team.

Joe hails from Livermore, CA, where his early exposure to government labs fueled his curiosity and ambition. When not engineering, Joe enjoys spending time at farmers’ markets, glamping, and traveling to California and Malaysia to visit family.

A Fun Personal Tidbit
Joe’s wife, an admissions assistant at UND who made it to the final round of auditions for Master Chef, delights in crafting exquisite desserts—a talent that nearly brought her national television fame.

Quick Queries with Joe:

  • Would you rather speak every human language fluently or talk to animals? Given my interest in Biblical Greek and Hebrew, I’d choose to speak every human language fluently. This skill would enhance both my professional interactions and my studies of ancient texts.
  • If you could have dinner with any fictional character, who would it be? I’d choose to have dinner with Indiana Jones. It would be fascinating to discuss his historical adventures over a meal.

We are excited to welcome Joe to the team, confident that his expertise and enthusiasm for electrical engineering will lead to innovative solutions and project successes. Welcome to the team, Joe!
