EAPC is proud to have partnered in creating the first Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in the nation specifically built for Indian Country. Developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, this facility also integrates the Wildland Fire Program, allowing both departments to share resources and enhance operational efficiency.

EAPC’s experience in public safety and their respect for the tribal nation’s vision were vital to this initiative. “EAPC ensured my voice was heard and advocated for our needs throughout the process,” noted MHA’s EOC Director/K9 Handler Emily Sitting Bear. “We did finish the project on time and under budget, which rarely happens. I would consider this project a success.”  Check out this project’s highlights and photos on our website: MHA Nation EOC and TAT Wildland Fire Management.
