Bryan Weerts joins the Mechanical Engineering team as Plumbing Designer in our Fargo office.

Bryan earned his associate degree in Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration from Moorhead Technical College (now Minnesota State Community and Technical College). He has more than 30 years of experience as a Pipefitter/Welder and Job Site Foreman.

Bryan has also earned multiple licenses and certifications including an AWS Structural Welding Certification, Refrigeration Handlers Certification, and Special Engineers Certification for Boiler Operation.

Bryan’s favorite part about his past jobs was working with apprentices and showing them the ropes. The roles are now reversed, with Bryan saying he’s excited for the change of pace and to learn something new at EAPC.

His interest in all things mechanical started on his family’s dairy farm as a kid, and only blossomed as he started helping around the farm and working on farm equipment.

“I really like doing layout… when you get to a boiler room or mechanical room, and you take the drawing off the paper and make it useable.”

After spending more than 30 years in the field and on job sites racking up more than 10,000 steps each day, Bryan says he was ready for a change of pace and a job that was easier on his body. “I want to save myself for retirement and grandkids.”

In his spare time, Bryan enjoys sports like hunting and fishing as well as embarking on many DIY construction and renovation projects. He even built an addition onto his house and is now working to restore a barn from the 1950’s.

Welcome to EAPC, Bryan!
