We are pleased to welcome Matthew Kirkwold to our Sioux Falls office as Structural EIT.
Matt is a 2020 graduate of South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City and will be completing his Master of Science in Structural Engineering this December.
“I wanted to obtain my master’s degree to further expand my knowledge of designing structures to withstand vertical and lateral loads and gain a deeper understanding of the work I am passionate about.
Joining the growing team at EAPC enables me to utilize my degree and apply them to projects in my community that excite me.”
Matt and his wife Stephanie are celebrating their first year anniversary and they enjoy being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, hanging out at home cooking or watching movies together, and they love to travel.
When Matt’s not at work he likes to go golfing, exercise at the gym or on the bike trails, and work with his hands on various woodworking projects.
“I just finished replacing my mother and father-in-law’s 10’x22′ deck over the weekend. The reason I got into structural engineering is because I grew up spending time on my dad’s jobsites where his residential construction company was building new homes. I was always intrigued by the construction process and fascinated with how strong buildings could really be.”
