The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe (LLBO) of Cass Lake, MN is a grower of natural rice. Every grain of Leech Lake Wild Rice is meticulously hand harvested from the pristine lakes and rivers of Northern Minnesota and then carefully processed. Currently, LLBO must outsource the processing of their rice. To eliminate this outsourcing, LLBO is constructing a wild rice processing plant. EAPC will design the processing plant including office space as well as all provisions for loading and unloading wild rice. An initial study and project planning will be used for a grant application.
