This station’s plan configuration separates public and private functions along a main circulation path for efficient building flow.
  • New station includes three-bay apparatus floor, exercise room, training/conference room, Captain’s office, living/sleeping quarters for three shifts of four crew members with a covered exterior patio, SCBA maintenance room, and support spaces
  • Mobile office for use by police during shifts without returning to the main station
  • Fuel depot for use by all city vehicles reduces excess fuel consumption and service times caused by a longer return to the main depot
  • Careful consideration was given to the surrounding context of the site and functions within the fire station to balance the commercial and residential aspects of the building and site design
